Barkley

You came into our lives as a rescued stray. You were very young and frightened of strangers. It took time for you to learn to trust us. Gradually you loved us, the whimpers in your sleep changed to a wagging tail in your sleep. You became part of our family and love between us continued to grow. You’re no longer with us, the house feels empty, you were our shadow, you were fun, smart and loving. We were privileged to have you in our lives. Goodbye Barkley, one day we’ll meet again.
